Thanksgiving greetings and itineration update |

Dear Friends,
Thanksgiving greetings from the Mann family, who are very happy to be home with family this Thanksgiving season. We arrived home for our scheduled furlough last December and just missed Thanksgiving by about 3 weeks. We are all looking forward to our first stateside traditional Thanksgiving meal and celebration in four years. There is nothing like Thanksgiving time in the States. The pumpkin pie tastes sweeter, the turkey is plumper, and we actually have eggnog. As I recall last year, our Turkey in Botswana had been freezer burnt almost all the way through. We were not able to eat it. This year we will be so thankful for the fresh juicy non freezer burnt butter ball. Its just a simple reminder of how blessed America is and how thankful to the Lord we need to be, even for a turkey.
Our family is also reminded of the generosity and sacrifice of our ministry partners. You have been exceedingly faithful and kind to us. We are abundantly grateful and thankful for each church and individual. I pray the Lords richest blessings upon you and all that you do. I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel. (Phil.1:3-5)
Our itineration (travel and fundraising) has been taxing, but the Lord has granted progress and perseverance. We have been in nearly 70 missions services in the last 10 months, with another 35 services scheduled. We do see light at the end of the budget increase tunnel though. We have $800 remaining in our monthly support need. We trust the Lord will bring this in by our deadline in March 2010. Please pray with us to this end and for continued travel safety.
This fall Zach played football for his school on the 8th grade team. It was his first time to play American football. In Botswana he was more used to playing cricket and futball (soccer).
This is a picture after his final game which they lost 23 to 46. They only won one game all season, but Zach did well and by the end of the season was starting on both sides of the ball.
Hannah, Zach, and Elliott have changed so much even in this last year since we have been home. In this picture the kids are at a pumpkin patch trying to help mom pick out some good ones for harvest time.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.
